This was a huge undertaking of personal pride. My grandfather had passed on in 2019, and he had collected years and years worth of old images and data regarding our family heritage and relatives. I wanted to honor him by gathering all of those assets and doing the designer thing and organizing it all into a nice, easy to read hard-case bound book.
Each person has their own profile page/pages, generational family trees were created, antique maps were found, the pages were tinted to look aged, and a million photos were scanned and data sifted through.
After the design work was done, I had to teach myself how to sew pages and create a hardcover book. Which was no easy feat. I have included some behind the scenes process photos to look through.
Overall, I am very pleased with how this turned out.
