This was a contest I participated in over the summer for the 2018 Chicago International Film Festival (CIFF). The theme was "Everybody loves movies" and the design had to feature that text and their logo (the face). I decided to cast famous cinematic silhouettes in a landscape meant to resemble old Wizard of Oz posters. I wanted to engage viewers to identify the characters and thought this concept could have been expanded to other formats while replacing the silhouettes over and over. Lastly I gave tribute to Chicago and included iconic buildings of their skyline into the letterforms of the logo design. I did not win the contest unfortunately, but I expanded the campaign anyway, just to showcase how it could have been used.
